How to use the 35 minute timer

This 35 minute timer is already set to 35:00. Press Start and it counts down to zero, then plays the alarm sound you picked. No sign-up, no ads.

  1. Press Start or hit the Space bar.
  2. Check the end time shown under the clock (for example, "ends at 4:05 PM").
  3. Press F for full screen if you want to read it from across the room.
  4. Pause with Space, reset with R.

What 35 minutes is good for

Thirty-five minutes is a little longer than a standard half hour, which makes it useful when 30 feels rushed:

  • Baking. Many cake and brownie recipes give a bake time in the 30 to 35 minute range. Set the timer for the top of the range and check doneness a few minutes early.
  • A workout with warm-up. A 30-minute session plus five minutes to warm up or stretch fits exactly.
  • Reading or homework. Long enough to finish a chapter or a problem set, short enough to stay focused.
  • A study block. If a 25 minute Pomodoro feels too short, try 35 minutes of focus and then a short break with the break timer.

Want music?

The timer itself has alarm sounds only, not background music. Play your own playlist in another tab or app; the countdown keeps running in the background and the alarm sounds as long as this page stays open.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set 35 minutes and some seconds?

Yes. Press Set Time and enter any hours, minutes and seconds. For more complex setups use the countdown timer.

Will my phone's screen stay on?

The timer asks the browser to keep the screen awake while it runs. Most modern browsers support this, but some phones may still dim, so check your settings if it matters.
